I regret ever telling my mom and dad I hate them. I regret ever saying I’d be better off without them, that I wouldn’t allow them to see their grandchildren. I feel like such an awful person for saying that to my parents. They’re the ones who brought me into this life, who nurtured me and made me whole. I cannot thank them enough for everything they’ve ever done for me, and all that they continue to do. They’ve done me proud, now it’s time I made them proud.
For once, my life is actually going really well. I haven’t cut since early November. Nor have I been tempted to, or craved it. I have great people in my life. I have the best relationship with my parents that I think I’ve ever had. I have a great job that has led me to meet amazing people. I can finally start paying my parents back and then hopefully go back to school. The sun is shining and it’s a beautiful day, and I have no complaints. I thank God everyday that I wake up able to laugh, and smile and continue on my journey.
